Not on the same system, but I tried reading the same emails on the
Debian server, which has mutt 1.6.2 and gpg 1.4.  I still see BAD
signatures.

One possibility is the emails get mangled in transit, but which MTA
modifies text/plain parts??

I refuse to call this fun :(
